Vamizi

13th June 2018

A stunning Island in the Quirimbas Archipelago off Mozambique that takes an effort to get to but well worth it!
We flew via Dar Es Salam, then onto a small airstrip in Mozambique to clear customs and then continued to Vamizi.
Staying at AndBeyond, an eco friendly resort where cheeky monkeys live in the trees around your room, we experienced pristine Indian Ocean waters along seemingly endless stretches of wild deserted beaches, the ultimate bare foot holiday.
The snorkelling was amazing in waters that boast some of the most significant corals, reef life and colours in the Western Indian Ocean.
Where else in the world would you eat tuna sashimi served within 30 minutes of arriving off your deep sea fishing boat?
Definitely a tick on the bucket list!
